Description: Here is a FENTON Burmese Custard Glass Basket Vase with ruffled edging. The oak or maple leaf decoration dates it to the early 1970's. The Fenton mark is on the bottom (without any additional numbers or letters which would place it into the 80's-90's). The custard glass technique includes a bit of uranium oxide which enables these pieces to glow in black light as shown. We are listing one other style in this pattern. Burmese glass was developed by the Mt. Washington glass company in 1885 and was named by Queen Victoria because the shaded colors reminded her of a sunset in Burma. The Fenton Art Glass Company is the only company to successfully replicate the original Burmese formula in modern times. Fenton introduced Burmese in 1970 and continues to produce it. *The photos are of the actual item you will get.*All items are in stock and ready to mail quickly.*Everything we sell is smoke-free.*We pack safely, ship fast and can usually combine shipping.*We accept multiple payment options thru eBay’s managed payments. *Now offering eBay International Shipping to most countries.*We appreciate your order!
