Description: A beautiful antique Georgian 18k and 9k gold and silver, Persian turquoise cabochon and diamond floral halo ring, dating to circa 1830 and presented in an antique box. This truly stunning antique Georgian solid 18k and 9k yellow gold ring is centered with a lovely high pointed almost sugarloaf-type Persian turquoise cabochon which glows a fabulous light turquoise blue when it touches the light, the turquoise surrounded by a glittering halo of 14 Old Rose cut natural diamonds, the gemstones prong-set into a silver top above a yellow gold filigree open gallery leading to an elegant split shouldered classic yellow gold band-simply adorable! The ring comes with an antique Victorian leather and silk box. The ring is stamped '18C' inside the band, the band tests for approximately 18k gold and the head for approximately 9k gold. The ring is approximately a size 7 1/4. The ring measures approximately 13.5mm x 11.5mm across the face. The turquoise measures about 9mm x 8mm x 6.6mm, the diamonds measure approximately +/-1.5mm. The turquoise weighs approximately 3-3 1/2 carats, the diamonds together about 0.1-0.15 carats. The ring rises about 9mm above the finger and weighs approximately 3.7 grams. The ring is in general excellent condition with all over light general wear. The ring looks to have originally been a 9k stick pin or similar with a Victorian added 18k yellow gold band. The stones have minimal wear and look fabulous. The box has general outside wear with light wear to the inside, the latch opens and closes smoothly. Please check all the pictures.
