After completing the 1999 season, going undefeated and winning their 2nd National Championship, the Florida State Seminoles celebrated by going on the Champions Cruise through the Mexican Riviera. This print was only available to passengers onboard the ship and was limited to 199 prints, all hand colored. There were no Artist Proofs or Printers proofs ever offered. This is an extremely hard to find, rare print. If you have a Florida State Seminoles art collection, this is the piece you're missing. This print was made with the highest quality materials. The print has been hand signed by legendary Head Coach of the Seminoles, Bobby Bowden, as part the prints commissioning. This comes with a Certificate if Authenticity. All the other signatures are not live signatures and are reproductions from the printing process. Florida State was the first team in college football history to rank first in the polls throughout the season and end with the number one ranking in the country. Ultimately, they defeating Michael Vick and The Virginia Tech Hokies in the 2000 Sugar Bowl. They became National Champions. Each Limited-Edition Champions Cruse Print is hand colored by the world-renowned Artist, Joe Belt. The print features portraits of the entire Florida State Coaching staff. In the background you’ll see an image of the cruise ship with a chart detailing all the stops the ship made during the cruise through the Mexican Riviera. Behind the portrait of legendary Head Coach Bobby Bowden, is a hidden image of 300, commemorating his 300th victory. This Champions Cruise Limited-Edition print is number 52 of 199. Each print starts off as a black and white print and each returned to the artist's easel for hand coloring by Joe Belt. This practice results in each piece having unique coloring and shading techniques, resulting in no two prints being exactly alike. There are hidden images throughout this print, they include the following: * The number 300 behind Coach Bowden, representing Coach Bowden's 300th victory * The Sears Trophy with its crystal football, is outlined in the main body of the print. This is the National Championship trophy. The print has been hand signed by legendary Head Coach of the Seminoles, Bobby Bowden, as part the prints commissioning and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The signature is clean and bold. Framed with the print, are 2 coins, displaying both sides of the 1999 limited edition National Championship Coin, along with the Seminole Head Logo in the center. The coins are 1 troy ounce .999 pure silver with a 24-karat gold overlay on the helmet and rim. The coins show natural signs of toning, and all are numbered limited editions and rare collector items in their own right. This print is number 52 of 199 and is an artist proof.
