Description: This hardcover copy of Francis Bacon Catalog Raisson and Documentation is a must-have for fans of the artists' work. Published in 1964 by Thames and Hudson London, this book is a rare gem that provides a comprehensive overview of Bacon's artwork. The catalog includes 27 color plates and 260 monochrome plates, making it a valuable resource. The introduction is by John Rothenstein with documentation by Ronald Alley. Overall, this copy is in good minus (G-) condition. The cloth hardcover shows light marks and wear. The reverse shows light staining in the top left corner. The exterior edge of the pages show light foxing. The first 20 pages or so have notes written in pencil in the margins and gaps. The top left corner of the back cover is slightly creased. This can be seen clearly in the last two photos. The binding has separated from the text block, but no pages are loose. It has its quirks, but this is a very functional copy. Don't let it get away from you! Item will be carefully packaged and shipped free of charge via USPS Media Mail. Please ask if you have any questions! Thanks for looking!
