The name, American Eagle Kukri; is derived from the Eagle shaped handle of blade. The blade and Scabbard are beautifully handmade by skilled craftsman in Nepal. The handle is made of Rosewood with white metal tip/ pommel. The scabbard is made of Cotton covered with buffalo leather. The overall length of the kukri is 13 “with the blade coming in at a little over 8”. This Blade is great for outdoor use as well as in the kitchen. You can easily chop up your vegetable, this knife makes slicing meat as easy as cutting pie and chopping wood or clearing brush makes it an all around multi functional tool. Two small knife "karda" and "Chakmak" are free with this kukri. "karda" sharp one is for small type of work such as skinning animal hides etc. and "chakmak' blunt one is for sharpening blades. Two Accessory Knives: The Karda; which has a sharp edge is used of skinning animal hairs & other one is called Chakmak (blunt) is used for sharpening blade. If its necessary to touch the blade, you should clean it by using petrol/gasoline or oil and wipe with soft cloths. 3. Your Kukri blade is made of Carbon Steel and can rust easily. In case of rusting rub it with a fine sandpaper, clean the dirt using some oil or gasoline and wipe it with a clean soft cloth then apply oil. Check the blade frequently and apply oil regularly. 4. Use shoe polish for the leather sheaths. Use brass polish or silver polish (the type used for brass fittings or sliver sheaths). 5.
