Description: German Trial Version M1895 Experimental Bayonet. During the trials of M1895 German engineers experimented with a few blade variations. By the end of the 19th century, reverse-edged bayonets became the weapon of choice for the Austro-Hungarian and later Czechoslovakian armies but they did not go further than trails during the development of the M1895. Probably one or two copies of this variation were ever made for testing, and I doubt another such variation exists today, making it even rarer than the standard M1895. No marks or stamps, the locking mechanism is in perfect condition and works fine. Please see my other knives, swords and bayonets.
