Description: A very interesting novel that I can even recommend to people who work, or want to work, on film productions abroad. Bob Hope gives some very frank and interesting looks at the troubles of being a part of, and being in charge of, such productions. He also gives some very interesting and funny looks at traveling non-stop around the world - as part of his USO tours (/recording TV shows). However, if you're looking for a quick laugh - this isn't it. Stick out the whole book and you will laugh, but sometimes laughs take a while. You may, like I was, also be thrown off by the mid-century "okay" terms such as "Jap's" and "wetbacks" which Hope likes to throw into comparisons now and again. One other caution, when you finish this book it'll be days before you can stop coming up with one-liners in your head.
