Description: Artist: Kenneth Washburn (1904-1989) Frame Size: 34 5/8" x 26 1/2"Visible Artwork Size: 34" x 26"Medium: oil on canvas This exceptional abstract painting is by listed California and NY artist Kenneth Washburn. The style and materials look like it was made in the 1950's. It is unfortunate that there are two punctures in the canvas (see arrows in second photo). The tear near the left edge has an old piece of masking tape behind it, but it's not doing much. Interestingly, the canvas looks to be made of burlap or jute. The frame is very basic, made out of four wood strips that are nailed into the side of the painting with tiny nails. The left 5" or so of the painting is just barely concave. It's difficult to see straight on, but you might be able to see it in the last photo from the side angle. Lastly, there is wire on the back to hang it vertically or horizontally. As it is abstract, it looks good either way. The shipping cost includes insurance and signature confirmation.
