Description: This stunning, elegant Enamel and Fine Bone Hinged Lidded Box was manufactured for The Royal Collection to commemorate the CORONATION of H.M. KING CHARLES III and H.M. QUEEN CAMILLA in 2023. The design is simply stunning and features the Royal Arms upon a cobalt blue background enameled lid. The lid is attached to the bottom via one hinge. Open the lid and on a white fine china background is the commemoration, "THE CORONATION OF THEIR MAJESTIES KING CHARLES III AND QUEEN CAMILLA 6 MAY 2023". A laurel, finished in gilding, completes the design. Inside the bottom of the box is a gilded crown. Around the highly ornate sides of the box are: 1) blue ribbons with the Scottish thistle and English Rose, 2) "C III R" cypher on a white round background, 3) blue ribbons with the Welsh daffodil and Irish Shamrock, 4) Camilla's royal cypher ("C C R", I think) on a white round background. All images are on a beautiful burnished gold background. The underside of the box bears additional commemoration, "HAND-MADE IN ENGLAND. "C III R" BUCKINGHAM PALACE CORONATION 2023. ENGLISH FINE BONE CHINA. THE ROYAL COLLECTION LOGO IS FEATURED AND VERY IMPORTANTLY, THIS IS MARKED #21/1000".
