Description: KitchenAid 5qt Stand Mixer Model KSM5 Heavy Duty with Mixing Bowl and Wire Whip ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a pre-owned collectible. Fair shape with yellowing grease at the top as seen in the images. I unscrewed the cap at the top and saw the same oily stuff. I checked a video out on Youtube about this Mixer and this is common with used ones. It need to taken apart, cleaned and regreased. It can be used as you see it, but it's not exactly recommended as it could wear down your machine. It's not a hard thing to do, but it is time consuming and messy. Unsure if it'll need new gaskets or gears or not as I didn't take it apart. Anyway, it's been tested and seems to be working as it should. Found no obvious flaws. You can watch the video to see it in action. The speed knob needs to be glued back on, or you can use it without. It has a plastic guard, but I think it's missing something else to keep it attached on there. It does have it's three attachments which normally comes with these things and are pretty expensive to replace.
