Description: A super nice deep aluminum snare. This is the Black Panther line from the late 90’s/early 00’s— just before Mapex started using that branding. Everything is very clean. This example has chrome hardware (instead of black chrome), which is less common and more durable. Rims are 2.3 mm Powerhoops. Comes with a low miles Aquarian satin coated head. The shell is 2mm, seamed aluminum. Specs are quite similar to the current Mapex Atomizer. The finish on the shell is black anodized; it is between a flat and satin finish. Some tarnish on the badge is the only real flaw I can find. Great with brushes too.
