Description: William Jay Bowerman was an American track and field coach and co-founder of Nike, Inc. Over his career, he trained 31 Olympic athletes, 51 All-Americans, 12 American record-holders, 22 NCAA champions and 16 sub-4 minute milers. In 1964, Bowerman entered into a partnership agreement with Phil Knight, who had been a miler under him in the 1950s, to start an athletic footwear distribution company called Blue Ribbon Sports, later known as Nike, Inc. Knight managed the business end of the partnership, while Bowerman experimented with improvements in athletic footwear design. Bowerman became head coach of the University of Oregon after coming back from WW2. So when he started Nike, some of his style influence was classic and professional looks influenced by the times and admiration for the military. This Nike sweatshirt is a must-have for any track and field enthusiast. With a solid pattern and brown color, this size XL classic military aesthetic sweatshirt features a full zip closure and long sleeves made from 100% cotton fabric. Pay homage to the roots and founder of the company with this jacket that is the essence of the Nike.
