Description: Original Early WW2 British ARP Warden Helmet Home Front Blitz 1939 XL Size 7 1/2 Genuine period helmet which was originally used by ARP (Air Raid Precautions) wardens during air raids on the home front during the Second World War. The helmet is an early example featuring an Mk1 liner with a circular pad. It is a good original example, in good clean condition and complete with chinstrap, liner and liner pad. The helmet shell features original paint to the exterior and the letter W to the front denoting Warden (see pictures). The liner is a Mk1 example with the circle pad and manufacture stamped Vero, extra-large size 7 1/2 and dated 1939. Please look at my other items for more militaria and collectables
