Description: Original Early WW2 British ARP Warden Rescue Party Helmet Home Front Blitz 1938 Genuine period helmet as worn by an Air Raid Precautions Rescue Party personnel who served on the Home Front during Second World War. Rescue Party personnel were responsible for finding and recovering those who were trapped in buildings which had been bombed in air raids. The helmet is an early example featuring an Mk1 liner with a circular pad. It is a good original example, in good clean condition and complete with chinstrap, liner and liner pad. The helmet shell features original paint to the exterior and the letter R to the front denoting Rescue Party (see pictures). The liner is a Mk1 example with the circle pad and manufacture stamped Vero dated 1938. The helmet features a scratched name Ben and size 6 3/4 painted underneath the rim.
