Description: A pair of decorative antique jewelled (the jewels are glass) ormolu fairy lamp shades which I would imagine date to the late 19th or early 20th cent. Each shade has 12 jewels with the colours being red, blue, amber and green. Condition. Both shades are in good condition with no missing jewels and they are not dented. The only things to mention are that on one of the shades the 3 pronged fitting is a little loose. It looks as if one of the small metal clips needs pinching together but it is behind the ormolu decoration which might make that tricky. Mentioned for accuracy but this a very minor issue and does not effect the use. Some blackening towards the tops of the shades caused by the candles. This can be seen in the photos with photo 10 showing by far the worst side. A small split from the time of making (see photo 11.) Approx size. Max height (excluding the 3 prongs) is 8.5 cm.
