Panasonic Multi band Receiver Model No RF-4900B/DR49

Description: This offering is the Panasonic RF-4900B/DR49. Another mint condition example of the RF-4900(B) I have come across in such a short timeline. It appears that the previous owner used this receiver for a very short time. As you can see in the pics, the receiver is in absolute mint condition. I believe the receiver was used very little and got put back into the box to sit for decades. This RF-4900B model is not a common one. For those that are familiar with the RF-4900, this model is labeled as a "DR49". Typically, the DR49 receivers were intended for the international markets (not US). The US version is the RF-4900. The international version was RF-4900LBS/LBE. This model is a RF-4900B, it has font on the receiver as "DR49". It has the "National Panasonic" label on the face of the receiver (The US version just says "Panasonic"). It has a dual voltage switch on the back to use 110-125V or 220-240V. This receiver even has the DR49 black matte rack handles (RF-4900 US version are chrome). The omitted items that make it odd for this being available in the international market are: There is no LW band on this DR49, the radio does not have a telescoping antenna for FM/SW 2-8 and no LW ferrite antenna as do other DR49s (RF-4900 US version requires an outside antenna for all bands except AM). Other items like the European type connectors for outside antennas and DIN audio setup are also omitted on this RF-4900B. Basically, this is a RF-4900B that is labeled as a "DR49" however, is identical to the US version RF-4900 with minor differences. This is another example I have come across that is in absolute mint condition. There is a mark on the right side of the digital display, on the lens that I could not remove (see pic). This receiver has been used very little and I believe has been sitting in the box for decades. This example is yet another RF-4900x that you will not likely find in this condition elsewhere. Receiver has been tested for functionality with AC power. All switches and controls work great. Digital display and backlight for S-meter works. This receiver is exceptional, mint condition. Receiver includes original AC power cord, long wire, FM wire, original owner's manual, all of the original cards/booklet/literature in the picture and the original box with styrofoam.
