Description: Photograph Notes: View NW from Acton Lane Bridge by Harlesden Station, which is in a cutting on the DC Electric lines - here running on the far side of the main lines. The freight train is coming out of Willesden (Sudbury) Low Level Sidings towards No. 7 Box. In the middle are the Down and Up Fast and Slow main lines and beyond are the Willesden (Brent) Empty and associated Sidings. It is an evocative scene of a very busy section of railway. The locomotive on the freight is Stanier 8F 2-8-0 No. 8630, which was built on the SR at Brighton in 1943 for the LMSR, on which (and later BR(LMR)) it stayed throughout until withdrawn in 7/65.
