Complete run from January to October 1804 Attractive antiquarian 1/2 leather bindings, smooth spine, gilt bands, gilt title lettering on contrasting leather labels, marbled covers. Set is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time, plus scattered signs of old damp staining to boards and paper, some loss of marbled paper covering, etc. Bindings heavily age worn but still appealing, leather and joints rubbed and stained with loss of paper covering to boards, but still supple, set remains overall very attractive as an object. Text block paper is age toned as typical, small old staining seen throughout, internally set remains mostly clean, tight and sound. A set which has been taken care of but may/ does not look like new. Still attractive on the shelf. Set displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in rather nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws seem easy to overlook or forgive. Please review photos for more detailed attempt to present this rare early 19th century set as it survives.
