Proto 2000 HO RF&P EMD GP7 Locomotive #103 with Torpedo Tubes, DCC Ready, LNIB

Description: Be sure to read description all the way through: Gorgeous, HO scale Life-Like Proto 2000 Richmond, Fredericksburg & Potomac EMD GP7 II Diesel Locomotive with "Torpedo Tubes" (Steam Generator) on roof, in Like New Condition In Original Box. Road # 103, Stock # 23025. Loco is DCC Ready. Take a look at the photos (enlarged) and see what you think. (Pardon any camera flash reflection.) ALL factory-installed detail parts appear to be present as chassis looks like it may have been test-run only. If it has been run any more than that, it can't have been for too much time. The body shell is obviously brand new. Model has operating constant & directional headlights on each end and lighted number boards, as well as factory-installed Proto 2000 Magnetic Knuckle Couplers with universal coupler pockets. Add-on detail parts (cab window boxes, sunshades, etc.) are present along with alternate horn-hook couplers in a still-sealed baggie. All the original paperwork is included (see last photo). Box is shelf-worn with a small tear (see it in 4th photo), but it still remains in good/solid condition. Styrofoam insert and clear plastic cover are both in very good shape. Buyer should be prepared to replace anywhere from 1-4 of the axle gears, if desired. The Proto 2000 GP7's often have the very common manufacturer's defect of "split gears". The replacement axle gears are available from Athearn (part #60024, 6 in a pack). It has been my experience that over half the time at least one of the gears on Geeps need replacing, so I just want buyer to be aware. (The gears are fairly easy to replace.) I track-tested the chassis and it ran okay, but I did notice the sound of split axle gears while running. Loco is being sold "As Is", of course! "Buy It Now" price offered.
