The felt base is missing. I've owned this clock for about 20 years. It worked when I bought it but, after so long, it no longer works and needs servicing. I haven't attempted this although I think all it needs is a clean of the mechanisms and some lubricant - I'd rather leave this to someone who knows what they're doing.
