Description: WW1 - WW2 used British Army M1907 Pattern, J. A. Chapman manufactured bayonet with scabbard. Steel pommel with working release button, service worn dark brown wooden grips, muzzle ring & metal guard. A 43cm steel blade, showing light stamped Chapman manufacturers mark and dated 10' 18 (October 1918), good dark blued finish, with some service chips to blade edge. Scabbard of leather and metal, olive green painted chape with tear drop frog stud. Overall bayonet in scabbard length 58cm, bayonet in good condition, well used condition by a scarce maker, who made only 300,000 J. A. Chapman made bayonets, out of a total of approximately 5 million made during WW1.A good used example of a WW1 bayonet, as used with the classic Short Magazine Lee–Enfield No. 1 Mk. III service rifle.
