Description: A first edition of the American Book Club, printed in 1946 by Harcourt. Dust jacket is in good condition with some tears (see scan) but all there, and the book is very good, except for a little age toning on the front inside cover and has a previous owner's name in ink on fep. Laid in is the advertisement from the Book-of-the-Month Club, which has some foxing along the spine. Haven't seen one of those in a while, if ever. A lovely edition of this RARE and hard to find, politically significant book.
