Description: This item is a rare L. HITCHCOCK seat featuring a woven rush seat, and no armrests or backrest. This authentic L. Hitchcock seat is a unique addition to any room, which has a black lacquer finish, and features a gold stencil and brand marks. The seat is fully assembled and is structurally strong. The legs each have metal buttons on the base of the seat legs. The seat is in great condition, with minor scraped and dings in selected areas (please see photos), but no major rips, gouges, damage or removed painted areas. The woven rush is in great condition and can hold the weight of a 225-pound adult (approx). This seat is a lightweight design, measuring 18.50 inches in length, 13.5 inches in depth and 18 inches in height. The item weighs 7 pounds and is made of wood and woven rush. The chair is an authentic original, not a licensed reproduction, and comes from Connecticut (United States of America). The seat was acquired through an estate sale and included two L.
