This rare Susy Goose "Susy's Superette" No. 993 market playset was made by the Kiddie Brush & Toy Co. of Jonesville, MI and is complete with the box, original figures and accessories. The box was meant to be used for the "walls" and the carton base for the "floor" of the store. Included in this playset are: 3 customers (man, woman & girl); cashier; man in apron; check-out counter with cash register; refrigerated produce counter with cover; shopping cart; shopping basket; grapefruit display table; 2 milk crates; 2 specials displays; special deal sign and frame; paper packaged goods; plastic fruit, meat, cheese and milk; fire hydrant; parking meter; paper signs, cards and banners; instructions. Also included is an advertisement for this playset from a 1957 Montgomery Ward catalog. The cardboard grapefruit and one piece of aisle signage are reproductions (see last photo). The checkerboard floor is for photography only and does not come with the playset. The plastic pieces are in excellent condition. The refrigerated counter cover is warped. The paper pieces have some age and play wear. The box has creases and has been repaired. The clear plastic has been repaired in the front panel. See photos for details.
