Description: RARE VINTAGE 3.5X5 "FOOTBALL" CARD SIGNED NFL HOF "CRAZYLEGS" HIRSCH + MAGAZINE Offered is a rare collection of two (2) items of "Crazylegs" Hirsh fame: 1. Large, Unsigned Union Oil Company of California magazine promotional article (date unknown), measuring 12.5" x 10", referencing Hirsch's association with this company. Article has two small (1") tears on lower right page and some tape emulsion stain on back of article. 2. Beautifully mint signed 3.5" x 5" "Football" card boldly signed by CRAZYLEGS HIRSCH in dark black fountain pen. Card has been taped to magazine article, as shown Elroy Leon "Crazylegs" Hirsch was an American professional football player, sport executive and actor. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1967 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 1974. In 1957 he retired from professional football with 387 career receptions for 7,029 yards and 60 touchdowns. He later served as athletic director (1969–87) at the University of Wisconsin and helped turn around the school's struggling sports program. Hirsch was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1968. This nice autographed item has not been professionally authenticated but absolutely guaranteed to pass any reputable third party authentication. "Crazylegs" Hirsch died January 28, 2004, at the age of 80. A prized collectible association including a splendid signature example of this highly touted and accomplished NFL Hall of Famer!
