Description: This is a RARE vintage AMBASSADOR 2-Blade JACK KNIFE that is in surprisingly good condition. It was most likely made in the 1960s by the COLONIAL KNIFE CO. in Providence, R.I. It measures 2.75" long closed and has a 2" long Clip point main blade, and a 1.25" Pen blade made of CARBON STEEL. Both blades have amazingly GOOD SNAP and NO WOBBLE. The Amber handles have a FAUX MOTHER OF PEARL strip embedded inside the steel frame on each side. There are no chips or cracks and the MOP is in very good condition although it appears they have shrunk a bit. Nearly every other similar knife has an advertising message printed on the handles but this one is AD FREE. It has not been cleaned or polished by me and is in as-found condition. Please see the pictures. The tang on the main blade is stamped AMBASSADOR over U.S.A. The tang on the pen blade is stamped COLONIAL over PROV.. U.S.A. over 492 which is the pattern number.
