They started using the ruby red “stubby” bottle in the early 1940s and stopped using the red bottle in 1963. The bottle has a 12 oz. capacity and features the iconic Schlitz Old Milwaukee logo on the still intact label! There is a small tear in the label as you can see in the pictures. Other than that, there is no visible damage that I can see. It's perfect for display and is definitely a conversation starter! Schlitz and Anchor Hocking teamed up in the late 40s and jumped on the bandwagon with the stubby style bottle, but decided to go with a ruby red color and stand out, which is just stunning in the light!
