Description: Up for sale, a Blue Kiwi microphone in need of repair. This microphone is in excellent physical condition and appears well cared for. This was seen working (and it worked for a moment for me) but I simply can't get this guy to output sound now. I removed the capsule covers to ensure it had not jumped off of its rubber bushings (no, it was fine). Capsules appear fine cosmetically. I did observe that one wire was loose that screws to the capsule housing and I tightened it. No improvement. While fiddling with this, I did manage to rotate the microphone into a position it seemed happy with, tapping on the body would produce a signal and it was reproducing vocals. After this occurrence I have been unable to repeat this. The capsule seems unresponsive in its current state and I'm getting nothing now. You can get a VU needle to deflect on occasion when scrolling through the patterns with this hooked to a mic preamp. It may be a loose wire but it's certainly not obvious to me. I have no clue where to go from here. I did not see anything that looked weird when I had some of the covers off but clearly this is not ready for prime time. If you are a mic guy (or girl) and have parts this might be an easy fix. Alternatively, maybe not. Comes as pictured. The original case looks decent with some small marks on it.
