"Riddles In Rhyme" is a collection of entertaining charades. Briggs writes in the Preface that he hopes "that nothing in this volume need call a blush to any cheek but his own." Known for his patience in dealing with errant undergraduates, Briggs was also known for "his always kindly humor endeared him to everyone," wrote an associate.
