Description: Oxford 1928 Book of Common Prayer BCP Hymnal Episcopal Morocco 03543X T 11 44 This is a beautiful and compact Book of Common Prayer and hymnal according to the 1928 edition for use in the Protestant Episcopal church. Please look closely at the pictures for the certification year for the BCP and the hymnal year, both of which are included in the pictures of the listing. Oxford editions, similar to Nelsons, are exceedingly hard to find in comparison to Seabury, which is more common, though still great quality. The ’48 prints used Levant Morocco, but this is not marked as such. It is marked as Morocco, but it is clearly leather-lined and feels like Levant or Pinseal: it has extremely flexible genuine leather binding, which is in part because it is leather lined. Little evidence of abrasion is seen, just a bit to the top corners. The page edge gilding has mild evidence of wear, but overall still quite shiny and in overall good shape; no large scratches. I found some occasional wrinkled where a moistened finger had touched a page. I found writing on two blank intro pages.
