Description: This is a hope chest vintage piece of costume jewelry. The Hope Chest Company began in 1958 and lasted until the late 1970s. The craftsmen of the company used alloys of metals of gold and silver tones, enamel, art glass, and Aurora Borealis rhinestones and crustals. They were sold through high-end home parties. The marking should be HOPE CHEST all in capital letters. This piece is marked as such. The necklace is about 8 and 1/2 inches long on each side of the clasp.
