Description: RARE BOX WITH INSERTS.Only the box has some surface wear, otherwise everything is AS NEW.To give you some more information about this interesting work, here is a review of another project by Jürgen Ploog.Excellent condensed electronic sequences, partly in the style of Brian Eno, but more meditative.Jürgen Ploog is something like the German counterpart to William S. Burrougs and has devoted his free time to so-called Beat literature since the 1970s. also uses the cut-up method. Professionally, however, he spent 35 years traveling around the world as a pilot for Lufthansa and collected many field recordings on his travels with a portable cassette recorder. A condensed excerpt of these field recordings from the years 1971 to 1976 is now offered on the album “Tapes von unterwegs”, which was edited by Robert Schalinski from COLUMN ONE, who have also worked with Jürgen Ploog in the past (including on the “Simulation” box) and are something like brothers in spirit. Surprisingly, to my ears, the “tapes from the road” sound much more interesting, exciting and atmospheric than all of COLUMN ONE’s work in recent years! In the approximately 50 minutes of the record, the willing listener is drawn into exotic, pulsating and mostly oriental spheres that are literally bursting with exciting sounds and moods. If you then immerse yourself deeply in this intense auditory image, your perception shifts so much that you even believe you can perceive intense smells. Jürgen Ploog’s distinctive voice is the only constant in the sultry sound jungle of the recordings and there is actually nothing more to add to his statement “The darker the area, the more intense the sounds”. Fascinating, absolutely worth listening to and even MUSLIMGAUZE fanatics should give this a listen – highly recommended! The record itself is cleanly pressed in 180g black vinyl, equipped with a high-gloss inner sleeve and wrapped in a sturdy black and white cover typical for 90% Water. If you would rather hear the whole thing in digital format, you have to buy the book “RadarOrient” by Jürgen Ploog from Moloko Print, which includes “Tapes von unterwegs” on CD.Jürgen Ploog is something like the German counterpart to William S.
