Description: 60th Anniversary Limited Edition Squale. This is a rare and beautifully designed watch. It is 1 of only 150 made. This is Squale's, best of the best after sixty years of designing watches. It has a vintage look that pays homage to the origin of the design, however, with a few modern design updates. The watch is in excellent condition, with a Sellita movement, that is easily serviceable. I bought it new in 2019. It works perfectly. It is slightly more of a collectible, than a daily driver, however, it is rugged enough for the individual that wants to wear a rare timepiece. The watch has been lightly worn and comes with the original strap and several other straps that create a diverse wearing experience. The bezel action is silky smooth, and the screw-down crown that is perfectly intuitive with the shape of the case. The sepia indices and hands are a second read and integrate seamlessly into the retro design. The watch dial is anthracite with a slightly warm tone in the sunlight. This watch has historical significance within the early development of dive watches. 1959 -2019, anniversary celebrating the Squale business of making solely dive watches, which continues today. Charles Von Buren started his business as a watch case maker in 1946. Squale, 30 Atmos, 40mm diameter, 13mm thick or stack height, 22mm lug width, Sellita SW200 automatic movement with hacking, and screw down crown. Commemorative certificate signed by Monique Von Buren (daughter of founder) and Andrea Maggi (current family member owner). Original packaging and papers are included.
