Description: A Stanley Bailey No 3 Smoothing Plane. Made in USA, this is a type 16 manufacture. The lever cap is the first to have the kidney shaped hole, and the cap is marked to the rear with the patent number for the design. Dates between 1933 and 1941. The handles are solid and both Rosewood. The plane has been cleaned, small parts wire wheel cleaned and oiled. The original cutter was too far gone to restore, so I have replaced it with a Stanley UK cutter which appears very little (if at all) used. I'm happy to combine postage costs where I can.
