Description: Hi Friends. This is a cute vintage "piggy" bank. It's called "The Strong Box" and it is a strong/heavy gauge metal, lined with wood inside. The lid hinges are spring-loaded so it stays up well. There's a slide button on the front to open it. There's also a key slot, and there is no key. Just in messing around with this I turned the combination lock to see if it worked and it DID. But it also locked the box so I couldn't use the slider!!! I was worried that I'd be selling a box that no one could get into after that... but I turned the combination a few more times, both directions & voila! It opened. Then I repeated the process & it seems to lock --- and you can open with a few turns to any numbers and get it to open again. Whew! Some idiot must have painted near it & got some overspray on the top - see photos. I didn't try to get it off. Overall, it looks like a very clean & nice little box.. It's about 6" x 4 1/2" and stands about 3 1/4" tall. It will hold quite a bit of folding $$$! I usually ship within one day of receiving payment.
