Superb Persian Minature Painting ca. 1970 - Highly skilled Artist (Signed?)

Description: Persian Miniature Painting. Created circa 1970. Water soluable pigments on paper with gilt accents. 9.25 x 5.75" Created for the tourist trade, the quality of execution on these lively pastiche pieces varies widely, with many examples tending toward the awkward, slap–dash, and unattractive. On a more cautious note, examples can also be found that were painted on leaves pilfered from genuinely old manuscripts; the intent being to fool the gullible into thinking they are buying a genuine15th century masterpiece for a bargain price. The portrait being offered here certainly bears no relationship to one of those abominations. The young male (or possibly female - it's often hard to tell) cuts a graceful figure. His winsome expression and delicate pose exhibit a true master's touch and represents a sincere modern homage to the art of a great ancient culture. An original work of this quality would sell in the many hundreds of thousands of dollars. The writing at the lower right corner of the piece could be the artist's signature, but also might be a title or reference of religious faith. A translation, unfortunately, that's way above my pay grade. Properly framed, this beautiful little painting could hold its own in any room or within any private collection. In Fine condition.
