Description: Eko guitars, made in Italy, are the most successful in Europe, with over 100,000 sold since their introduction in 1959. Along with Framus, Eko guitars occupy the same niche as the original Oscar Schmidt did in the United States, with varying tiers of models but some very affordable. This is a 1961 Eko Ekoette 6-string parlor guitar. Mahogany top, back & sides, walnut fretboard, no truss rod. Small crack at base of guitar (from bottom to bridge); does not affect sound or play. As a 63 year-old guitar … without a truss rod … the action is a bit high: 1/8” at first fret, just under 1/4” at seventh fret, a little over 1/4” at twelfth fret. In great condition for its age … AND it just sounds great, too—rich and deep. Sorry, no case. Will ship UPS Ground to Continental USA only.
