Description: Description: Up for sale is a beautiful Syracuse Old Ivory Selma Single (1) 9” Round Vegetable Serving Bowl. At the time this listing was written, multiple place setting pieces, extra pieces, and serving pieces were available in this pattern, so be sure and check out my many other lots! The 9” round vegetable serving bowl measures approximately 9.0” in diameter and is marked with the following backstamp: “Old Ivory, Syracuse China, OPCO, Made in America.” Some pieces in the set have a slight variation in the backstamp, or include the pattern name of “Selma.” The bowl has a cream base with a multi-color floral pattern on the center and rim, in addition to a gold rim and verge. The pattern has been discontinued with the years of manufacture between 1949 and 1967. Condition: Overall, the 9” round vegetable serving bowl is in good condition and looks to have been rarely used. The bowl was acquired as part of a much larger set with little history known; however, no major condition issues were noticed upon a thorough inspection. The piece may show light signs of holiday use or light cleaning scratches, or minor imperfections to the gold rim/verge; however, I do not feel that the condition of the piece has been compromised.
