Description: This is a lot of 2 very rare sheet music scores. First is Teddy Junior March which is about Teddy Roosevelt Junior and written in 1923 when he was Assistant Secretary of the Navy. Theodore Roosevelt Jr was also a Brigadier General and the oldest man to go ashore at Normandy during WWII. He died of a heart attack about a month later and was awarded the Medal of Honor for his service in WWII. Also a veteran of WWI, he was instrumental in founding the American Legion. The second piece of sheet music in this lot is a very rare piece entitled "America Is Proud Of You." It was dedicated to the American Legion and Introduced by the Arthur Maloney Post #93 Of Kansas City, MO. Two very rare pieces of Americana Sheet Music in very good condition (see photos) from the period just after World War I.
