Description: For sale is a 45 RPM vinyl single from The Crystals titled "Uptown b/w What A Nice Way To Turn Seventeen", originally released in 1962 by Philles Records. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve, then into a storage box for seven inch 45 RPM vinyl records, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched "LW", indicating that the record was lacquered at Long Wear Plating in Long Island City, N.Y. before it was pressed. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. The vinyl is visually graded as Very Good because of superficial sleeve marks, a small smudge at the end of Side One and hairline surface scratches, none of which can be felt with a fingertip. I'm play grading this record as Very Good because of occasional low levels of surface noise, none of which over-powers the vocals or the music. It plays all the way through without any pops, skips or lock-ups from start to finish. You would be hard pressed to find a copy of this record in this condition, especially a first pressing.
