I know these type of water rockets go back to at least the 1950's. This is a plastic toy not a hobby (model) rocket. It will maybe go 20 feet on first attempts and later maybe 40 feet once you fine tune amount of water and pressure. If you want to soar hundreds of feet (Above the tree tops) you need a solid fueled rocket such as ESTES rocket sets. Triple Pack of Water Rockets. Pump, 3 Rockets, 1 filler cup, Instructions on container. NOTE: Package says pump 7 times. With 7 pumps I do not get the rocket to fly very far. I pump until it resists further pumps and get the 40 or so feet. I have had it come down behind on asphalt. There is a rubber tip on the rocket noses. This protected the rocket from damage.
