Noted Italian director Umberto Lenzi ultimately directed the film under the pseudonym Hank Milestone. In 1939, six friends who met at a Parisian cafe vow to meet there again at the end of the war. They are of different nationalities, one is British, another German, two Americans and two Frenchmen. Only three survive the war and the Liberation of Paris to return to the cafe.
