Description: Up for sale is one of the finest examples of the Holton Couturier Shepards Crook Cornet models I have ever seen anywhere, and could be a striking centerpiece of any horn, cornet, or Holton collection.Manufactured in 1911, serial number 15926, this horn is all original and in awesome condition for its age. Gold plating is almost 100% complete, all serial numbers on valves and valve caps are matching, valve plating and mother of pearl valve caps are in great shape, and the heavy engraving stretching from the bell to the crook is a work of art. This cornet has been professionally serviced with all new corks and felts, lubricated with Hetman synthetic lubricants, and is ready to play. This cornet includes a reverse leadpipe, Bb and A slides, as well as high and low pitch main tuning slides, gold plated Holton "27" cornet mouthpiece, lyre holder clamp, and case. Two brace points have been resoldered, one on the first valve slide and one on the third; there are a few minor dents on the crook, all shown in the pictures.Let me know if there anything else you'd like to see and I can add more details or photos.Shipping is available for the continental US and will be shipped well packaged and insured.
