Description: This is a pair of fantastic vintage buckle back Palm Beach brand shorts, circa. the late 1940s, early 1950s, in a size 34. These shorts are in brilliant, seemingly unworn condition, and were found with the original cutter tags in the back pocket, all but confirming that these are deadstock. Inside the back pocket can be found the ACWA union tag, of the pre-1962 variety, with dense and very legible ink, and no signs of washing. The shorts lack any branded tags internally, but the buckle on the back has the Palm Beach name debossed on it. Lastly, the zip fly is made by Conmar, of the type used in the late 1940s. Palm Beach was a maker of primarily suits for the first half of the 20th century, transitioning in the 1940s to a wider market which included uniforms, sportswear, and some women's garments. These shorts are an excellent, very modern size, fitting a 34 inch waist without any usage of the buckle back, and an 11 inch inseam. Check the below measurements before purchasing. Note: the attached Palm Beach advertisements hail from the mid-to-late 1940's, and showcase some of their shorts offerings. Measurements:Waist: 34 in Inseam: 11 in Leg Opening: 10.5 in Front Rise: 13 in NOS, Deadstock condition. Unworn. Clipper tags are present but have been removed.
