Description: This vintage 1976 Model 177 Steelcase Tanker Swivel Caster Industrial Chair is a unique addition to any interior. With a Chocolate Brown color, Striped Regis Fabric and neutral color painted steel frame, this chair is both stylish and durable. The chair features a partially reclining backrest, padded and adjustable height seat for maximum comfort. It also comes with a 4 caster propeller base and a swivel screw pedestal for easy movement and height adjustment. The chair is an original Steelcase product and was manufactured in the United States in 1976. This chair is perfect for anyone looking for a vintage-style chair that is both functional and stylish. When I found this chair, it had a hand written tag that said "Stenographers Chair". I was told that the original owner and user had been able to keep it after she retired from the Courthouse in the mid 80's. This is according to her Daughter. For a chair that is 48 years old, it is in very good condition, with less than normal wear. Please see pictures for actual condition. The chair will be partially disassembled for more compact shipping, saving you on shipping fees. I will remove the backrest from the seat base and the base from the pedestal, individual bubble wrap each and carefully pack in an appropriate sized box.
