Canvas measures 18” by 24” frame is 24” by 30.25”. Jean E. Nerfin was born in Switzerland in 1922. After serving in the military during WWII, Nerfin worked in London and Paris. It was here that he was able to absorb the sophisticated art scene of the 1940s. In 1951, he opened his own commercial design firm in New York where he associated with other famous artists like Jackson Pollock and Willem de Kooning.
