Description: Offered for your consideration is one (1) GEMINI XI medal commissioned by the Glendinning Company and struck by their subsidiary, The Danbury Mint, in 1969. This historical token is made of brass and measures 1” diameter. It predates Shell Oil’s “Man in Space” game tokens that were crafted from aluminum and, in lieu of the mission summary, had just Man in Space (or the Shell logo) on the tokens’ reverse. I believe Danbury also produced those for Shell. This GEMINI XI medal is in clean, good condition. There are a few faint handling marks, light blemishes, and moderate tarnish as pictured. Overall, it still retains some shine and looks pretty nice. So, as pictured and described, this GEMINI XI commemorative medal is offered at a competitive price.
