Description: This is a unique item: A handcrafted Tramp-Art style frame, approx 7x7.75 with a 4x5 inch opening. This frame was created in 2002 by an individual who signed the back. This appears to be an artisan crafted frame and not a commercially made piece and it is very skillfully crafted. Whether inserted by the artist who made the frame or someone else, the frame came with the vintage postcard (behind glass) of the little poem "A Wish and a Hope for a SOLDIER BOY." (below.) Just a little word of cheer, Just a wish that you were here, Just a hope that you'll soon send, At least a post card to your friend. A search shows that this post card and other similar ones are from the WW1 era. (Values of these cards $3-$5.) Of course the buyer can remove the post card to use the frame for other small art. I taped the back of the frame to better secure the post card and backing and kept the sawtooth hanger that it came with. Thanks for looking and please contact me if you have any questions.
