Description: This lovely handwoven cinta is from the small agricultural town of Zunil in the Guatemala Highlands. I purchased it at a co-op in the center of town in the early 90's during their civil war and it was considered vintage then. This piece was well loved and is used. Edges and bits are slightly fraying and the pom poms are faded. This lends unique charm to the piece. This would have been wound around braids which are then wound around the head. It measures approximately 123" from the tip of the pom pom to the other tip and is 1" wide. As this is not returnable, please let me know if you would like more photos. I'm happy to take them.
