Description: What's not to love about a vintage cookbook from America's Heartland? This great cookbook was published in 1986, ostensibly as a fund raiser for the Trinity High School Marching Band in Iowa Falls, Iowa. There's a picture of the band on one of the inner cover pages and musical-themed black-and-white illustrated section cover pages throughout the book. There are 300 pages in this great midwest cookbook, loaded with recipes from some of Iowa's premier home cooks. Also included; the usual table of substitutions, cuts of meat, etc. The cookbook is about 3/4 inches thick, 8 3/4 inches tall, and 7.5 inches wide - a nice medium size. The covers are coated plastic to prevent stains and water damage - probably why the book is in such good condition after 38 years. The book is in good vintage condition. The front and back covers are intact and clean. The spine is in good condition with no cracks or broken teeth. All pages are secure - none loose. There is an inscription on the inner cover page and a note or two added to a few recipes here and there. Some of the pages also have some age-related discoloration. Other than that, pages are clean - no spots, holes, tears, or printing. See photos or additional details. The table of contents is pictured, but here are a just a few of Iowa Falls' best that you will find on these pages: - Walnut Fireballs. - Old Fashioned Vegetable Noodle Soup. - Mrs. Birdie's Bread. - Zucchini Delatort. - Flank Steak Fix-Up. - Skillet Pork Chops Stroganoff Style. - Deer and Beer. - Bacon-Wrapped Chicken-Mushroom Kabobs. - Beets L'Orange. - Red Velvet Cream Salad Jello. - Jewel Cake. - Peach Crumb Pie. - Great Aunt Ruth's Favorite Gingersnaps.... - .....And many, many more!Every effort will be made to minimize the environmental impact of packing and shipping each item.*REDUCE* *REUSE* *RECYCLE*
